Golf Sponsorships & Charitable Contributions
Over the years Web City USA has helped with Golf Sponsorships & Charitable Contributions
that benefit our local community. Listed below are just a few of the organizations or events we have help sponsor.
The Eden Youth and Family Center began its work more than 25 years ago and is uniquely positioned as a
cooperative alliance of independent direct service providers to combat the crippling lack of services for children, youth
and families. The Services available at its campus include low-cost child care, mentoring for at-risk youth, student
tutoring and homework assistance, youth fitness and nutrition awareness programs, computer skill building, pediatric health
and dental care, tattoo removal, and emergency transportation assistance. More than 52,000 clients are served annually; The
John Sandoval Golf Classic.
Project Legacy - A library building & expansion campaign for the Weeks Library located in South Hayward. Our local
library has many programs like "Literacy Plus" to help the needs of our growing community. The main goal of Literacy Plus is to provide for our learners’
emerging literacy needs through goal-directed, learner-centered tutoring.
Many Bay Area families are unable to afford even the modest cost of being a Boy Scout. The Oakland Raiders BSA Golf
Tournament is a great way to ensure children get the opportunities, motivation and fun that scouting offers. Offering
programs such as Accepting Consequences, Setting Goals, Resume Writing, Women in the Workforce and more. These programs
help young people get so much further ahead in life than they would on their own. Proceeds from the tournament keep the
three camp properties and sea base running so that scouts can exlore the great outdoors now and for years to come. This
program offers the full spectrum of traditional Scouting to at-risk and urban youth. The San Francisco Bay Area Council,
BSA provides uniforms, books and camp scholarships to those who might not be able to afford it otherwise.
In recent years 730 housing units have been added in the downtown area. Approximately 2,000 people live in these units,
including 170 children under the age of 5 and 340 children aged 5-17. As the number of children in the downtown increases,
the value of a community park for children is more apparent. The Hayward Rotary Club, working together with the City of
Hayward recognizes the need for children to have safe, meaningful and challenging activities. A new urban children's
playground will meet a vital community need and provide our children with a safe place to play. The Children's Park
at Giuliani Plaza in downtown Hayward aims to make playtime fun, safe and accessible. Child Spree -
The Hayward Rotary's community partnership with Mervyn's California. The goal of Child Spree is
to provide much needed back to school clothing for disadvantage children in our comminity.
The Hayward Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is a fund raising event that brings together movers and
shakers from Hayward's business community for a day of fun, net-working and financial support for Chamber programs.
Proceeds from the tournament help finance Chamber programs throughout the year.
Tennyson American Little League - Northern California District 45 Hayward, CA. There are more Little League
baseball programs in California than in any other state. When Little League officials first organized California leagues
into districts in 1958, they created 33 districts that were numbered sequentially from far Northern California to San
Diego. As Little League's popularity has grown, and as California's population has expanded and migrated, the number of
districts in the state has doubled. Today, there are 68 districts in California, including 30 in Northern California.
